The acceptable level of radon in New Hampshire depends on whether it is in the water or air. The current recommendation in New Hampshire is to consider reducing radon in water when the level is between 2,000 – 10,000 pCi/L and the airborne radon level in the home is 4pCi/L or more. The average level of indoor radon in the U.S. is 1.25 picocuries per liter (pCi/L), but in New Hampshire, it is estimated to be 1,8pCi/L.

Unit owners should seek Board approval before installing any remedial system. Our buildings have a mitigation pipe inside our external wall specifically designed for this purpose. It is located in the rear attic and runs to the basement foundation. No external piping is needed except through the roof in the rear.
